There are a couple things you should know about me. First, I believe in being a gentleman and I believe in the medieval knight’s code of chivalry, knights code, call it what you will (at least, as much of it that remains relevant in this day and age). Second, I am devoting this blog to sharing information on both topics, as well as sharing my thoughts and feelings as I strive daily to walk and live both paths.
Some may say that being a gentleman is old fashioned. They may also say that chivalry is dead. I say those people are wrong. Society may fight back, or people might look to dampen my spirits with harsh words, thinking that they know better, or that I’m fighting a lost cause. They may hope that I’ll turn tail, run and hide.
In the words of Captain Malcolm Reynolds of the ship Serenity (from feature film of the same name and the short-lived tv series Firefly) – “I do not hold to that. No more runnin’. I aim to misbehave.”
